We see about 5,000 startups each week, and I want to give you a glimpse into how we at Headline think about trending tech companies and tracking new investment opportunities. In this post, I’m highlighting top tech companies that have announced or raised a seed round within the past week.

SudShare

EVA Growth Index:

Product:
On-Demand personal laundry marketplace than connects consumers with local “Sudsters” who pick up, wash in their own home and return the laundry

Lead Investors:
Headline

Total Raised:
$10M

Comparables:
Rinse, Hampr

My Thoughts:
We love the time that SudShare frees up for suburban working mothers in the terms of letting them concentrate on the things that drive value in their lives. On the flip side, it also enables the Sudsters to fully leverage their washer/dryer infrastructure in their home and earn a sustainable on-demand wage. Win-win for everyone!

UXCam

EVA Growth Index:

Product:
Customer insights software for app developers that captures and visualizes user interactions through at-scale screen capture

Lead Investors:
Headline

Total Raised:
$10M

Comparables:
FullStory, Smartlook

My Thoughts:
I believe that being customer-centric in product development is the single most significant driver of a business’s success. UX Cam enables mobile product teams to do this in an unprecedentedly powerful manner, which is why we at Headline could not be more excited to be partnering with the team!

EnquireLabs

EVA Growth Index:

Product:
Dynamic post-purchase consumer questionnaire platform

Lead Investors:
True Ventures

Total Raised:
$5M

Comparables:
Hotjar, Kno

My Thoughts:
This is like UXCam for physical products as it enables unprecedented insights for e-commerce product teams. Looking at their traffic growth, this is one to watch!

Koloni

EVA Growth Index:
No external sources show growth

Product:
A platform that enables owners to rent out their assets to the public on-demand through democratizing smart locks and mobile payments

Lead Investors:
Launch

Total Raised:
$1.3M

Comparables:
N/A

My Thoughts:
I love how Koloni enables literally anyone to get more usage and return from their asset, no matter what it might be. There are plenty of challenges the team will face, but if they get it right, this could be massive!

Wing

EVA Growth Index:

Product:
Communication software-enabled marketplace that connects knowledge workers with on-demand virtual assistants

Lead Investors:
Brookstone Venture Capital, Berkeley SkyDeck Fund, Surface Ventures

Total Raised:
$2M

Comparables:
Zirtual, GetMagic

My Thoughts:
We at Headline have been working with virtual assistants for a few years now and could not imagine living without them. Nevertheless, the biggest pain point has been around accurately communicating tasks. This is why I see Wing being so powerful as enabling more accurate communication could turn this otherwise commoditized product into a powerful piece of infrastructure for any modern organization.

What is the EVA Growth Index?
